Update....

Hey hey :-) This post is gonna be about quite a few different things....
I've been gone for awhile but not really :-)

I've been cleaning and patiently waiting for my new kitchen!!
The amount of dust in this house was INCREDIBLE..... I have scrubbed it from top to bottom, given myself a sinus infection, and there is still some dust laying around.... at least not to the same magnitude as before.... We are all happy to be home again though and it's a great feeling to sit on my living room couch again!!! (after I took it apart and beat the dust out of it!). These pics aren't completely done but close.... I still have to mural the wall and borders which will take me a few days!

New Cabinets!

I really like the red!!!

New oak stairs leading to foyer.....

I've also been able to update my list on the left and I'm feeling quite proud of myself! I FINALLY went through my file area.... holy moly let me tell you..... I had papers saved from 2004! Can we all say together..... RIDICULOUS! I tore up so many documents yesterday that I don't have much natural oil left in my hands.....

ALSO!!!! Big news.... Zane is a big boy now in a BIG BOY BED.... (well kinda).... The other night I got up to check on him and there was no Zane in his crib!?! Well after looking around I found him :-) He had made his own little fort under his rocking chair in his room.... fast asleep :-) So we lowered his crib to rail position and he now has a "day bed" so to speak :-)

And finally the last part of this post.... John and I decided last night that it was time to work on the diet/ healthier eating phase of my list.... we have both been very tired and just feeling crappy lately, and we both have some winter pounds to lose.... I'm not talking about crazy weight loss but I've noticed my jeans are a tiny bit more tight this spring and I'm working on not "buying" so many new things. The whole trying to make use of what we have kind of thing and the only way to do that is to fit into my jeans from last fall..... we're talking maybe 15 pounds or so. SOOOOOO...... From the blogging world, I'm going to add another post above this one asking for recipes...... I would really enjoy recipes from anyone out there reading...... I would like recipes that make the transition easier for the kids and us at becoming more vegetarian. We are not giving up meat completely but we would like to eat A LOT LESS meat and have a more natural diet..... but with out putting my kids into mac and cheese withdrawals!!!! SO on the above post I would appreciate comments of your favorite recipes!!!! (Hey Nina..... could you guys share a few recipes with us?) That's about all for now :-)

Wow. I like the red. Did I see a red ceiling also? I think I did. I bet it looks nice with the inset lighting. Enjoy....
