Wedding update... and more.

(The revised and less bitchy version.... sorry about the earlier draft, I think i'm having a lot of PMS!)

So... I'm sure the 5 of you know I got married this weekend...

And I have to tell you...

NEVER GET MARRIED :)

It's the biggest cluster fuck you will ever have! :)

We worked very hard for a very long time to make our wedding one that people don't want to leave... to make it one that people talk about for awhile... to make it OUR OWN... to have it include everything important to me and John.

I'm still exhausted, almost a week later!!!

But in the end... It was still magical and everything I had hoped for. It was outside influence that made it what it was. It was the day we had dreamed of.... not just me and John, but our wonderful friends who were there from the beginning to help us out. You know who you are... you are our "amazing persons"... if you came over, listened to me, delt with my attitude and still managed to pull thru and make our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be... then I owe you more then words can describe...

Maybe I just finally understood what good friends are there for...

Enjoy the pics :)

Me, John, and his bff.... Brad :)

Guess what?

Guess what guys?

I get married in TEN DAYS!!!!!!

I just wanted to take a few minutes to do a few things :)

First and foremost...

I want to tell you all how much of a wonderful, awesome, fantastic, super guy John is :) He is one of those guys you think only exists in a fairytale book... Knows how to sew, cook, clean, and is smart to boot.... I have friends, family and aquaintences that have yet to find a good man... and I've found TWO! Let me be one to testify... they do exist, mostly where you don't expect them to be. Just make sure you open your eyes and let fate lead the way ;)

I am the one he has chosen to spend the rest of his life with and I can't be more exicted to be that person :)

Also...

I get this person to add to my life....

I always wanted a daughter... and I have to say... I've definintly got the coolest daughter by far. She has the most unique personality and shucks the "normal" trend everyday... I couldn't ask for anything better in the world.

I know she has a mom... but I still feel extremely lucky because I had resigned myself to NEVER having a daughter... and as the stars have aligned for me... I get to :)

My life is complete now... and I hope, pray, and NEED it to be complete.... :)

Good night everyone :)

Children.... SHOULD hear this man...

Oh my oh my...

I've really got to share my thoughts on this.

I was informed this weekend that Barack Obama was to give a speech to students today. As soon as I found this out, I was all for it and hoped that my children in school will be able to hear the speech. If they don't get the chance, I will sit with them at home and watch it with them myself.

Then I heard that there was a lot of objections from parents.

In my personal opinion..... STOP COMPLAINING.

Do you think it is important for your children to learn about history?
Do you think it's important that children receive an education?
Do you think it's important that parents, family, teachers, and children should all work together?
Do you think it's important that our school systems start to OVER achieve and not continue to UNDER achieve?

Well I do.
As a parent, a PTA member, an active participant in my children's education and upbringing, I think it's one of the most important things I work on EVERYDAY.

I think it's FANTASTIC that the president of our country actually cares that our children suffer from lack of parental involvement, sedentary lifestyles, lack of activity, lack of imagination , and lack of personal growth.

These are the things I strive to provide for my children everyday.

It really angers me as well to see such close minded individuals make statements that it is inappropriate for children to hear this speech.

And that's all I'm going to say about that. If I offended anyone for my language, I apologize. If I offended you because I challenge your right as a free American to chose what your child is exposed to, then bring it, but make sure the argument is more valid then the statements made by parents that I have read today.
